General budget deficit records JD655.2 mln after aid

Ammon News - During the first five months of 2024, the domestic revenues reached JD3.879 billion, an increase of JD41.6 million compared to the same period of the previous year, bringing its coverage of current expenses to 92.3 percent, while non-tax revenues increased by about JD40.5 million compared to the same period in 2023.

In terms of public spending, the total spending of the central government/budget during the first five months of 2024 amounted to about JD4.576 billion, compared to JD4.296 billion during the same period of the previous year.

As a result of previous developments, the general budget recorded a financial deficit after aid of approximately JD655.2 million.
