He highlighted that tourist flights to Aqaba are ongoing through all land and airports.

In a press statement on Thursday, Al-Haj Hassan noted that visitor numbers during holidays and special occasions have exceeded expectations, thanks to the Authority's implementation of artistic and entertainment events targeting local and international visitors and Aqaba residents.

He emphasized the significance of the artistic, entertainment, and cultural events, along with the weekly heritage bazaars held at the Great Arab Revolt Square, organized by the Authority in partnership with various stakeholders. These events cater to diverse tastes, offering activities such as swimming, water sports, and visits to historical and heritage museums. The Bird Observatory in Aqaba is a key destination for groups of migratory birds. Land trips to the Wadi Rum region are also popular among tourists, who visit to watch sunsets, stargaze, and enjoy the unique pink sands.

Ahmed Karshian, representing the Director General of the Jordan Tourism Board, pointed out that these regular flights will pave the way for more international airlines to operate in Aqaba, stressing that the Authority has intensified efforts to promote tourism through charter flights, signaling a revival of tourism activity and recovery from the regional challenges faced in recent years.
