Ammon News - The Jordan Hashemite Charitable Organization (JHCO) said on Thursday that Jordan has sent a total of 31,000 tons of aid to Gaza since the start of the war on the besieged Strip.

The total weight of the aid was sent from Jordan to the people in the Gaza Strip, and what was distributed from inside Gaza via partner organizations, amounted to approximately 31,000 tons, the JHCO explained in a statement.

According to the organization, these numbers were distributed as follows: "more than 20,000 tons of food, approximately 2,400 tons of relief, approximately 1500 tons of medicines and medical supplies, approximately 720 tons of health materials, and approximately 6,000 tons of aid distributed inside Gaza through partner organizations.

This aid was transported through several means, as the total number of convoys sent by land across the King Hussein Bridge reached (1865) trucks, distributed among (1122) trucks - the JHCO with international organizations, and (743) trucks - the JHCO with the Jordanian Armed Forces.

The total number of airdrops reached 358, distributed among (257) landings with other countries, and (101) landings via the Jordanian Armed Forces.

The total amount of aid sent by air via El-Arish Airport reached 53 aircraft, (13) aircraft through the JHCO, and (40) aircraft in partnership with relief organizations.

The number of beneficiaries of relief and food aid provided directly in cooperation with partner organizations within the sector reached (717) thousand beneficiaries.
