Ammon News - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs welcomed Slovenia's decision to recognize the independent Palestinian state, considering it an important step towards implementing the two-state solution.
The ministry's official spokesperson, Dr. Sufyan Qudah, affirmed the Kingdom's high appreciation for this decision, which is consistent with international law and international legitimacy resolutions that stress the necessity of ending the occupation and implementing the two-state solution, which embodies the independent, sovereign Palestinian state along the lines of June 4, 1967, with occupied Jerusalem as its capital.
Qudah also stressed the importance of the international community taking urgent steps to recognize the Palestinian state, to ensure a return to a path that achieves just and comprehensive peace, preserves the rights of the Palestinian people, and achieves security, stability and peace in the region.
Additionally, Qudah reiterated Jordan's position to support Palestinian people in realizing their independent state, based on the Kingdom's "firm" position in backing the Palestinian cause and people.
