Ammon News - Jude Bellingham has admitted 'it would be really nice' to play alongside Kylian Mbappe at Real Madrid after the French superstar played his final match for PSG at the weekend.

Mbappe is expected to finally seal a transfer to the Spanish capital in the coming weeks after running down his contract in Paris, with Madrid set to snap up one of the world's best players on a free transfer.

The love affair between Mbappe and Madrid has been one of football's longest-running sagas since the LaLiga side first registered their interest several years previous.

Mbappe or the club are yet to announce his arrival, but Madrid star, Bellingham, has hinted at the possibility of the 25-year-old soon becoming his team-mate.

Bellingham has starred during his debut season at the Santiago Bernabeu, scoring 23 goals across all competitions as a makeshift striker and playing a key role in taking the club to the Champions League final.

Now he hopes to become a European title winner for the first time when Madrid travel to Wembley to take on Borussia Dortmund at the weekend.

Bellingham was coy on revealing whether Mbappe would be moving to Spain next summer but hailed the former World Cup winner's incredible ability.

'You ask me about the position next year, I don't pick the team and I certainly don't make the transfers but you know, Kylian Mbappe, what a player,' Bellingham told beIN sports.

'Who wouldn't want to play with someone as good as him?

'I don't want to kind of put any more pressure on the situation, I know for him it's probably difficult having everyone always talking about him, but yeah it would be really nice [to play alongside him],' he added.

Should the pair link-up next season then they will be one of the most-deadly duos in European football after reaching a combined total of 89 goals and assists in as many games this season.

While Bellingham is busy preparing for Saturday's Champions League final, Mbappe has been enjoying a mini-break of relaxation ahead of the upcoming European Championship.

The striker recently attended the Monaco Formula One Grand Prix where he was given the honour of waving the chequered flag for race winner Charles Leclerc.
