Jordan Customs thwarts smuggling of 800,000 Captagon pills across Jaber border

Ammon News - The cadres of the Jordan Customs Department (JCD), foiled at the Jaber border customs center, in cooperation with the security services and the Anti Narcotics Department, thwarted an attempt to smuggle (800) thousand Captagon pills coming from Syria through the border center.
The JCD's media spokesperson said that the customs personnel working at the Jaber border customs center were able to thwart the smuggling of (800) thousand Captagon pills that were hidden among goods for the purpose of smuggling.
He explained that the goods were carefully inspected, and after suspecting them, the aforementioned quantity was found.
The Jordan Customs Department confirms that its cadres are working in all border customs centers side by side with the rest of the other security services and the Narcotics Control Department in a coordination effort and at the highest levels in combating the entry of such narcotic pests and other prohibited materials across the border as part of its duties that it undertakes to protect citizens from tampering with their health or economy alike.
