Ammon News - Minister of Interior, Mazen Faraya, confirmed that stores selling alcoholic beverages were closed throughout the holy month of Ramadan, and no store was allowed to sell these items.

Faraya said, in response to a parliamentary question by MP Saleh Armouti, that the instructions regulating the licensing of shops selling alcoholic beverages in force prohibit these shops from promoting through social media or any related means except for the shop’s own page.

There is continuous follow-up by formed committees for the purpose of ensuring compliance with the regulatory instructions, especially with regard to the issue of promoting products through the media, with the exception of the store’s own page, the Minister added.
