Japanese Embassy announces introduction of JLPT for first time in Jordan

Ammon News - The Japanese Embassy in Jordan announced the introduction of the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) for the first time in Jordan. This significant milestone reflected Japan’s commitment to promoting Japanese language and culture in the region.

To announce this momentous occasion, the embassy hosted the Japanese Language and Culture Day in collaboration with the University of Jordan. Participants enjoyed a day filled with exciting activities, cultural exploration, and language learning at the University of Jordan on Wednesday, March 6, 2024.

Participants learned about the JLPT and its significance from Ms. MURAKAMI Nami, a Japanese-Language Education Advisor representing the Japan Foundation Cairo. Attendees were indulged in the flavors of Japan with a delightful selection of Japanese food. Participants also experienced the art of elegant writing with a hands-on calligraphy session.

JLPT test consists of five levels: N1 to N5, and it costs 40 Jordan Dinar. The registration deadline is March 31st, 2024, while the exam date is July 7th, 2024 at Modern Language Center, Amman, Jordan. It is open to all nationalities.
