Qatar bans 'leafy vegetables' import from Jordan except with precautionary measures

The Qatari Ministry of Health informed Jordan of its decision to ban the import of "fresh leafy vegetables" from the country unless specific conditions and precautionary measures are met.

According to documents obtained by Ammon, consignments must be accompanied by a certificate of conformity issued by one of the companies approved by the Qatari Ministry of Health as a third party for prior inspection in Jordan. This is as a precautionary measure to ensure that pesticide residue limits comply with requirements.
