For the first time, Al-Balqa Applied University has achieved a spot within the 401-500 range of the Shanghai Global Ranking of Academic Subjects for 2023 in the fields of Engineering and Computer Science, ranking second locally without being followed by any of its counterparts in Jordan.

The university administration has certainly expressed its joy at this achievement. Its president, Professor Ahmed Fakhri Al-Ajlouni, praised the university's staff, students, and partners. He emphasized that this is a significant and important step, and that more efforts will be made to place more academic fields within the same ranking.

He stated that the university is committed to implementing the royal vision for the higher education sector by supplying the local and international markets with qualified graduates who possess fundamental and specialized work skills. This is evident in the university's progress in implementing its strategic plan aimed at global excellence by providing educational services, enhancing teaching, and supporting scientific research, as well as fostering partnerships with prestigious international academic institutions. Prof. Al-Ajlouni added that the university's leadership follows a team-based strategy that ensures the contribution of all its staff in improving the university and ensuring the continued quality of its graduates.

It is impressive that Al-Balqa Applied University has leaped to a high academic rank locally considering its recent establishment, and it has stood out in other important global rankings. This clearly shows the significance of its role in contributing to knowledge production, scientific achievement, and linking them to industry and human development.
We are justly proud of and grateful for our university, and we sincerely thank its president, Prof. Al-Ajlouni, and his administrative and academic staff, for this high achievement.
