First round of Jordanian- Bulgarian political consultations begin within two months

Ammon News - Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Ayman Safadi, said that he discussed with the Bulgarian counterpart Mariya Gabriel, during her first official visit to Amman, bilateral relations between the two countries.
In a press statements, Safadi added that he spoke with Gabriel about areas in which cooperation between the two countries could be increased, specifically tourism and education, in addition to cooperation within the framework of the Aqaba Process.
Safadi also indicated that he looks forward to host Bulgaria to the Aqaba Process as soon as this year will be agreed upon, stressing the agreement to resume political consultations between the two countries on a regular basis, and the first session will begin within two months.
The meeting also discussed the humanitarian catastrophe that the Israeli aggression continues to exacerbate in the Gaza Strip, he stated, stressing that Jordan’s position is the need to immediately stop the aggression.
The Minister explained that the Gaza Strip is currently facing famine, according to United Nations reports, in addition to talking about how to increase efforts to deliver humanitarian aid.
Safadi also said that he briefed his counterpart on the landing operations carried out by the Kingdom in the Gaza Strip, noting that this aid is not sufficient and represents a very small percentage of the Gazans needs.
The Foreign Minister warned that the continuation of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, and at the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan, will put the entire region at risk of expanding the war and erupting the regional situation, stressing that every time that passes increases the risk of expanding the war.
