Jordan to evacuate 54 Jordanians from Gaza- Ministry

Ammon News - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said on Tuesday that work is underway to evacuate 54 Jordanians from the Gaza Strip to Egypt, who were allowed to leave via the Rafah border crossing.
Official spokesman of the ministry Sufyan Al-Qudah, stated that a team from the Jordanian embassy in Cairo, which has been present since the beginning of the evacuation operations from Gaza on the Egyptian side of the Rafah crossing to supervise the evacuation operations of Jordanian citizens residing and present in Gaza, is receiving the Jordanian citizens who are being evacuated from Gaza, and providing them with the necessary assistance and medical care, and transporting them by bus to the port of Nuweiba and on to Cairo in the journey back home.
AL-Qudah also said that a total of 1184 registered Jordanians were in Gaza before the war, and 721 of them had been evacuated.
