Aqaba lands, Abu Nseir apartments are most in demand since beginning of 2024

Ammon News - *Iraqi nationality ranked first in real estate sales to non-Jordanians in January 2024.

*Real estate trading volume reached half a billion dinars in January 2024.

*Apartment sales decreased by 7% and land sales by 9%.

Ammon news -Ahmad Alhyari- The majority of land sales in Jordan were concentrated in Aqaba during January 2024, specifically the village of Aqaba Al Ittihad Basin, with a number of 63 plots of land, and apartment sales were concentrated in northern Amman in the village of Abu Naseer, Asha Al Faqir Basin, with a number of 47 apartments, according to the monthly report of the Department of Lands and Survey (DLS).

The report, a copy of which was reviewed by Ammon, showed that the trading volume in the real estate market in the Kingdom in January 2024 amounted to JD499.739 million, a decrease of 0.5% compared to December 2023.

The DLS's revenues declined in January 2024 by 12%, reaching JD21.524 million compared to the same month in 2023, so that the Amman Land Registration Directorate came in first place with revenues amounting to approximately JD4.687 million.

Apartment sales declined in January 2024 by 7% compared to the same month in 2023 and land sales also declined by 9% compared to the same period in 2023.

The number of real estate sales to non-Jordanian investors during January reached 178 properties, a decrease of 25% compared to the same month in 2023, including 122 apartments, a decrease of 29% compared to their counterpart last year, and 66 land plots, a decrease of 18% compared to the same month in 2023.

Iraqi nationality ranked first with a total of 48 properties in January 2024 sales, Syrian nationality ranked second with a total of 38 properties, and Saudi nationality ranked third with a total of 18 properties.

It is noteworthy that the volume of real estate trading during 2023 reached JD6.961 billion.
