Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Muhammad Shaker - The Kingdom will be affected starting Sunday by a hot air mass ahead of 'khamasini' conditions which will center above Egypt and throughout the Kingdom.

Khamasini conditions raises temperatures nearly 12-14 degrees above their average for this time of year, bringing in hot and dry weather, accompanied by dusty winds which may cause low visibility in the afternoon.

Khamasini conditions usually prevail around late March, referring to the nearly 50 days (khamseen, in Arabic) between March and May, where hot and dry conditions, along with dusty winds affect the region.

Skies will be mostly cloudy, with moderate to strong southwesterly winds especially in the southern parts of the kingdom, causing dusty conditions and possible sandstorms especially in the desert regions and highways.

Weather will be warm in the evening hours on Sunday, with dusty southwesterly winds causing low visibility. Strong winds may cause sandstorms in the desert regions.

The Kingdom will continue to be affected by the hot air mass and 'khamasini' hot and dry conditions on Monday morning.

A Cold air mass will move to center above the kingdom in the late afternoon hours on Monday, dropping temperatures slightly.

A sudden and deep change in temperature is expected Monday night as a cold front affects the kingdom, dropping temperatures and raising humidity. Weather will be relatively cold throughout the kingdom with partly cloudy skies. Conditions will remain dusty with low visibility, and possibly dangerous low visibility and sandstorms in the desert regions.

A further in temperatures is expected Tuesday, where a sharp in temperatures will surpass 12 degrees in one day, to dip below their average for this time of year. Weather will be relatively cold and stormy, with sandstorm and dusty wind conditions causing low visibility on the roads.

High clouds on Tuesday afternoon accompanied by possibility of rain showers especially in the northern parts of the kingdom.

Another in temperatures is expected Tuesday night and Wednesday morning with partly cloudy skies. Temperatures will be extremely cold in Al Shirah Mountains, the Badia and eastern hills, with a possibility of icy conditions on the roads in these areas. Winds will be moderate and northwesterly, raising dust in the southern and eastern parts of the kingdom.

Scattered rain showers are expected on Tuesday and Wednesday.
