Domestic revenues rose JD 374 million in first 11 months- 2023

Ammon News - Domestic revenues increased from January to November in 2023 to reach a value of JD7,694.9 million, an increase of JD374 million compared to the same period of the previous year, bringing its coverage of current expenses to 88.4%, this increase came as a result of an increase in tax revenues of about JD206.5% million, and an increase in non-tax revenues of about JD167.5 million.

The increase in tax revenues is due to the increase in income and profit tax revenues, amounting to JD205.5 million, reaching a value of JD1,678 million, and achieving 108.6% of the estimate in the general budget law for the year 2023, as a result of the improvement in tax commitment and compliance of taxpayers in submitting tax returns, without raising tax rates.

In terms of public spending, the total spending of the central government/budget during the first 11 months of 2023 amounted to about JD9,760.7 million, compared to a value of JD9,388.4 million during the same period of the previous year, as a result of an increase in current expenditures by an amount of JD590.7 million compared to the same period of the previous year.
