The national team leads Group E with 4 points from a win over Malaysia and a draw with South Korea, with a goal difference over the latter, then Bahrain is third with 3 points, and Malaysia is last with no points. The national team also secured qualification to the second round of the 2023 Asian Cup, after Japan defeated Indonesia by 3-1.

Ammon News - The Jordanian national football team will meet its Bahraini counterpart on Thursday at 2:30 Amman time, at the conclusion of the group stage competitions in the Asian Cup currently being held in Qatar, at Khalifa Stadium in Doha.
