Ammon News - In a powerful display of solidarity, tens of thousands of activists gathered yesterday in Washington, D.C. as part of the Global Day of Action, calling for an immediate halt to the US-backed Israeli war of genocide on Gaza.

The protesters, estimated to exceed 400,000, waved Palestinian flags and many adorned themselves with Palestinian keffiyehs during a march marking the 100th day of the Israeli aggression on Gaza.

Chanting "Ceasefire now," demonstrators held banners and posters with messages such as "Free Palestine," "Stop the War on Gaza," and "End Funding for Genocide."

Near the White House, speakers urged U.S. President Joe Biden to end military and financial support for Israel. Amid applause, one speaker stated, "President Biden can easily stop this madness by exerting pressure on Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu."

Several Palestinian Americans shared poignant stories of friends and relatives who were killed or injured in the ongoing Israeli genocide campaign in Gaza.

Simultaneously, numerous cities and capitals worldwide witnessed massive protests against the ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza.

Notable demonstrations took place in Paris, London, Amsterdam, Oslo, Uppsala, Milan, Tunis, Seoul, Tokyo, Kuala Lumpur, and Jakarta.

These protests aimed to express solidarity with the Palestinian people and demand an immediate ceasefire, an end to aggression on Gaza, and the delivery of humanitarian aid to the region.

Since October 7 of last year, the Israeli aggression on Gaza has resulted in 23,843 people killed, in addition to 60,317 others injured, predominantly among children and women. The aggression has also caused extensive infrastructure damage and an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe.
