Ammon News - The Israeli occupation army announced on Wednesday morning that it had raised the state of alert along the border with Lebanon, hours after the assassination of Saleh al Arouri, Hamas leader, by a drone in the southern suburb of Beirut.
In a statement, the Israeli army also announced the strengthening of Iron Dome system along the border with Lebanon and the Galilee region.
The Israeli army's decisions regarding the situation on the border with Lebanon come after a meeting that included Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Defense Minister Yoav Galant, and War Council member Benny Gantz.
The Lebanese Hezbollah pledged to respond to al Arouri's assassination, while an Israeli official expected a "major retaliatory response" to the operation, which Israeli and US officials confirmed was carried out by Tel Aviv.
