The clashes have so far thwarted smuggling of large quantities of drugs and automatic and missile weapons, an official military source in the General Command of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army announced. The source confirmed that the armed groups are now being expelled into Syria, while a number of injuries have occurred among members of the Jordanian border guard forces, and their health condition is between light and moderate.

Ammon News - Since the early hours of Monday morning, armed clashes have been taking place between Jordanian border guard forces and armed groups on the northern border of the Kingdom and within the area of responsibility of the Eastern Military Zone.

The clashes have so far thwarted smuggling of large quantities of drugs and automatic and missile weapons, an official military source in the General Command of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army announced.

The source confirmed that the armed groups are now being expelled into Syria, while a number of injuries have occurred among members of the Jordanian border guard forces, and their health condition is between light and moderate.
