Foreign Ministry to evacuate 92 Jordanians from Gaza

Ammon News - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, through the Directorate of Operations and Consular Affairs, is working Thursday to secure the evacuation of 92 Jordanian citizens residing and present in Gaza and registered on the Ministry's lists and those who were allowed by the crossing authorities to leave through the Rafah crossing to Egypt, and to ensure their evacuation to the Kingdom as quickly as possible.
The evacuation comes in continuation of the implementation of the Royal Directives, according to the official spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Ambassador Sufian Al-Qudah.
Al-Qudah explained that the Jordanian Embassy team in Cairo, currently present on the Egyptian side of the Rafah crossing, is working to complete the evacuation Thursday.
The number of Jordanian citizens residing and present in Gaza, registered on the database since the beginning of the raging war on Gaza, has reached 1,010 people to date, 525 of whom have been evacuated, Ambassador Al-Qudah said.
He reiterated his emphasis on the Kingdom’s continued evacuation of its nationals from the Gaza Strip, and his invitation to Jordanian citizens residing and present in Gaza to contact the Ministry’s Operations Directorate to request assistance at the following numbers: 00962799562903/ 00962799562471/ 00962799562193 or via email op.ctr@fm.gov.jo
