Ammon News - Minister of Government Communications and government spokesperson Muhannad Mubaideen, commented on the calls for a comprehensive strike around the world, in solidarity with the people of the Gaza Strip.

Mubaideen told Ammon that the masses in the countries participating in the strike are seeking to push their governments to advance further in their position of solidarity with Gaza and its people and to take more decisive positions, As for Jordan, Mubaideen said "our positions have been clear from the beginning of the crisis, whether by taking practical steps such as withdrawing the Jordanian ambassador from Tel Aviv, and informing Israel not to return its ambassador to the Kingdom, in addition to not signing the water-for-energy agreement."

Mubaideen proposed an initiative to support the people of the Gaza Strip with aid, instead of calls for a strike, stressing that supporting the Strip requires that we be economically strong so that we can continue to provide the necessary aid.

He noted that the position of the government and political forces in the country regarding the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip is ahead of all countries of the world.
