Dams receive 4.3mcm during depression- Ministry

Ammon News - Ministry of Water and Irrigation - Jordan Valley Authority said that 4.3 million cubic meters of water entered the dams until Wednesday morning, due to rain and valley flow, raising the total storage in the 15 main dams to 76 million cubic meters, with a total storage rate of 26% of its storage capacity of 288,128 million m3.

The ministry also explained that the rainfall rate rose to 24.2% of the long-term annual average, and the highest rainfall recorded in Zarqa within 24 hours reached 27.4 mm.

The governorates recorded precipitation amounting to 13.7 mm in Amman, 10.9 mm in Balqa, 15.3 mm in Madaba, 13.2 mm in Zarqa, 9.1 mm in Jerash, 10.6 mm in Mafraq, 10.2 mm in Irbid, and 10.7 mm in Ajloun , 8 mm in Karak, 5.1 mm in Tafila, 1.7 mm in Maan, and 0.9 mm in Aqaba.
