Ammon News - Amidst changing weather patterns, Jordan is preparing for a gradual increase in temperatures on Thursday, surpassing seasonal averages by approximately (5-7) degrees Celsius.

This upward trend will bring relatively warm weather to most regions, while the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba will face hot conditions, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily update.

Cloud cover is expected to dominate the skies with medium to high-level clouds, and moderate southeasterly winds will gently blow, occasionally gaining strength.

Looking ahead to Friday, similar weather conditions will persist, with clouds at various altitudes, and a chance of light intermittent showers in the far eastern parts of the country. The winds will maintain a moderate pace, occasionally picking up in the eastern regions.

Saturday brings a subtle respite with a slight decrease in mercury levels, offering a welcome touch of mildness across the Kingdom. Nevertheless, the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba will remain entrenched in relatively warm conditions.

Clouds of varying altitudes will grace the sky, and there is a chance of scattered rain showers, accompanied by sporadic thunderstorms, in the southern and eastern regions.

The winds will shift their direction from northwestern to northeastern, maintaining a moderate flow.

Today’s peak temperatures will be between 29 and 32 degrees Celsius in Amman and various highlands throughout the Kingdom, with lows of 19 or even 16C in the southern highlands at night. The Gulf city of Aqaba will have sweltering weather, with highs of 37C and lows of 25C.
