Ammon News - Jordan is in store for a week of pleasant weather as mild temperatures continue to grace the country, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily update.

On Tuesday, the mercury rises slightly above the seasonal average, offering comfortable and moderate conditions across most areas. However, the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea experience relatively warmer temperatures, accompanied by the presence of medium to high-level clouds.

In the afternoon, the eastern parts of the country may witness a subtle bout of atmospheric instability. This atmospheric shift brings the possibility of scattered showers in select areas of the eastern and southeastern regions. Thunderstorms may occasionally accompany the rainfall, particularly in the eastern parts.

Additionally, moderate northeasterly winds may stir up some dust in the Badia region.

According to the meteorological report, the weather on Wednesday will maintain its mild nature throughout the majority of Jordan. The Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba, however, will see relatively warmer conditions. Medium to high-level clouds will decorate the skies, while the winds will be moderate and southeasterly.

As we move towards Thursday, a slight rise in temperatures is expected, surpassing the average by approximately 5-6 degrees Celsius. The mountainous areas will enjoy pleasant weather, while the rest of the country will experience relatively warmer conditions.

Clouds at various altitudes will add to the visual appeal of the skies, and the winds will be moderate, blowing from the southeast.

Today’s peak temperatures will be between 27 and 29 degrees Celsius in Amman and various highlands throughout the Kingdom, with lows of 16 at night. The Gulf city of Aqaba will have sweltering weather, with highs of 34C and lows of 24C.
