Leonardo DiCaprio's Titanic costume up for grabs in TV and film memorabilia sale

Ammon News - One of Leonardo DiCaprio’s outfits from the 1997 movie Titanic is one of 1,800 items up for grabs as part of an upcoming TV and film memorabilia sale.
The film catapulted DiCaprio into superstar status with his role at Jack Dawson alongside Kate Winslet as heiress Rose Dewitt Bukater.
Titanic captured the hearts of people around the world as they watched Jack and Rose fall in love on that fateful journey.
The James Cameron blockbuster became one of the top grossing films of all time.
Now one of the costumes made for the now 48-year-old actor during the making of the blockbuster movie is being auctioned off next month in the sale worth an estimated £12m.
The lot consists of a pair of tan corduroys with suspenders, a white collarless shirt and a charcoal vest.
A tag inside the vest bears the name of the tailor, Dominic Gherardi, and reads 'Mr. Leonardo DiCaprio' with the date August '96.
Also up for grabs is the head of Star Wars droid C-3PO from the 1977 movie A New Hope; The Godfather coat from the 1972 film and an Indiana Jones whip from 1984.
Propstore, which is selling the outfit, expects it to fetch somewhere between £120,000 and £200,000. The sale runs from November 9 online and in Piccadilly, London.
