Ammon News - Jordan’s national football team has climbed to 63rd place globally in the latest rankings released on Wednesday by FIFA.
The Nashama moved up one spot, reaching 1,391.45 points in the updated standings.
Jordan drew 2-2 with Nigeria national football team on Tuesday evening in a friendly match held in Antalya, as part of preparations for their historic first participation in the 2026 World Cup.
The team is set to hold its final training camp in May and June ahead of the tournament. Jordan will face Switzerland national football team on May 31 in St. Gallen, before traveling to the United States to play Colombia national football team on June 7 in San Diego. The squad will then be based in Portland for their official World Cup camp.
Jordan will make its first-ever appearance at the FIFA World Cup 2026, having been drawn in Group Ten alongside Argentina national football team, Algeria national football team, and Austria national football team.
