The national team emerged victorious in their opening match of the 19th edition of the Asian Games against Thailand, with a score of 97-63. After the victory over Bahrain, the national team strengthened its lead in the group with 4 points from two wins, a difference in points scored over the Philippine team. The national team will conclude its matches in the group stage by facing the Philippine national team on Saturday, as the winner of this match will qualify directly to the quarter-finals, while the losing team will play a playoff match to qualify for the quarter-finals.
