FM calls to stop Israel’s measures that undermine chances of peace

Ammon News - Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs, Ayman Safadi, met Friday with the United Nations Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process, Tor Wennesland, on the sidelines of the high-level week of the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly.

Safadi and Wennesland discussed the latest developments related to the Palestinian issue, and the efforts made to stop the deterioration of the situation in the occupied Palestinian territories.

The two officials also discussed ways to achieve just, lasting and comprehensive peace based on the two-state solution.

Safadi also stressed the need to stop the violations and unilateral and illegal Israeli actions that undermine the chances of achieving peace.
