Palestinian killed by Israeli forces near Jericho

Ammon News - Israeli occupation forces Wednesday morning shot and killed a Palestinian youth during a military raid into the refugee camp of Aqabat Jabr in the occupied West Bank city of Jericho

Dhargham Muhammad Yahya Al-Akhras, 19, due to his critical head wounds after being shot by Israeli occupation forces during the raid.

Israeli special forces stormed the Aqabat Jabr camp to carry out detention operations, where confrontations broke out with Palestinian youths, which led to at least one being injured by live bullets and causing cases of suffocation.

The Red Crescent reported that a young man who was shot with live bullets in the head was transferred to Jericho Hospital during the occupation forces’ storming of the camp, where his injury was reported to be serious.

The medical staff later pronounced him dead as a result of his very serious injury.

The number of Palestinians killed by Israeli forces in the Jericho district since the beginning of this year rises to 13.

Meanwhile, the occupation forces sent additional reinforcements to the camp, where they carried out a massive campaign of raids and incursions into dozens of homes, searching them and ransacking their contents, and subjecting their residents to field investigations.

During the storming of the camp, the occupation forces detained two Palestinians from their homes in the camp.

Last night and at dawn on Wednesday, the Israeli occupation forces launched a campaign of raids and incursions in the occupied West Bank, which included confrontations in some areas, and arrests of a number of Palestinians.
