Ammon News - The activities of the national field exercise, known as 'Darb Al Aman/3' (Path to safety), which is carried by the National Center for Security and Crisis Management (NCSCM), continue for the second day, to determine the readiness of public and private institutions to deal with the earthquake and their repercussions.
The warning sirens sounded on Monday morning throughout the Kingdom, marking the start of the activities, which simulates the occurrence of a sudden, impactful earthquake and the subsequent search, relief, and evacuation operations.
The exercise aims to measure the speed of response of the competent agencies and ensure their efficiency, with the participation of 50 institutions, led by the army and security services.
On its first day, the exercise was accompanied by extensive rescue operations and the evacuation of students in dozens of schools and citizens during official working hours, as well as a simulation of the collapse of buildings in selected areas.
In the coming hours of the exercise, a field hospital and a survivors' shelter were set up on the Airport Road, search and rescue operations were carried out for hundreds of students, and sites that had been subjected to presumed collapse due to earthquakes were evacuated.
