Ammon News - The Central Bank of Jordan (CBJ) revealed, on Tuesday, that exchange companies can issue prepaid cards in partnership with e-wallet service providers located in Jordan, by allowing them to offer a co-branding product.

The CBJ explained that foreign remittances can be received via e-wallets in partnership with exchange shops through this service, according to Al-Mamlaka TV.

The card issued by exchange shops must bear the logo of the e-wallet company and the exchange shop together, the bank said, indicating that the exchange shop can share profits with the e-wallet service provider in exchange for using the card or e-wallet to carry out payment or transfer operations.

President of the Jordanian Exchange Association Abdulsalam Al Saudi, explained that prepaid cards can be used for purchases and paying bills.

The prepaid cards can be filled out through the e-station, eFAWATEERcom, and exchange shops, Al Saudi noted.
