Jordan confronts with all its capabilities drug smuggling from Syria, FM says

Ammon News - Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs, Ayman Safadi, said that Jordan faces a major challenge in drug smuggling from Syria, and continues to confront it with all its capabilities.

During a press conference for Safadi and his Irish counterpart, Mihal Martin, on Thursday, Safadi stressed that Jordan will do everything necessary to defeat this danger and protect Jordanian society from it.

Jordan will not be able to receive more refugees, he added.

Safadi confirmed the strong friendship and clear positions between Jordan and Ireland in supporting efforts to establish security and stability in the region.

Safadi pointed to a noticeable increase in the number of Irish tourists to Jordan and an increase in the number of Jordanian students studying in Ireland, stressing the joint keenness between Jordan and Ireland to increase cooperation.
