Jordan condemns Papua New Guinea's opening of embassy in Jerusalem

Ammon News - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs condemned Papua New Guinea's decision to establish an embassy in Jerusalem.

In a statement, the ministry's official spokesperson, Sinan Majali, affirmed that the opening of the embassy in Jerusalem is an unacceptable, and is a flagrant and gross violation of international law and international legitimacy decisions.

Majali stressed that any actions or steps taken to alter the status or legal standing of Jerusalem are regarded as null, illegal, and devoid of legal consequences, adding that achieving a just and comprehensive peace is the only way through the two-state solution.
