U.S. Ambassador: I hope to learn Jordanian accent

The new U.S. Ambassador to Jordan, Yael Lempert, said that she visited Jordan for the first time in the early nineties, almost 30 years ago.
"It is a great honor to be here in Amman, to strengthen the friendship and strategic partnership between the United States and Jordan," she said in a video clip that the embassy published on its official platforms on social media, on Monday, adding: "I'm looking forward to getting to know Jordan and the courageous Jordanians"
She studied Arabic in Cairo, and that's why she have a strong Egyptian accent, adding that she hope to learn more about the Jordanian accent, the history and culture of Jordan, the generous hospitality of Jordanians, the country's beauty and the delicious cuisine, like Shawerma and Knafeh and the famous Mansaf.
The Ambassador pledged to work to continue cooperation with Jordan to promote common priorities, including supporting economic growth, enhancing water security and facing security challenges in the region.
