Ammon News - Iraqi oil exports to Jordan rose during August to 464 thousand barrels, compared to 300 thousand barrels in July, according to the Iraq’s state-owned marketing company (SOMO).
Iraqi oil exports to Jordan increased by 15,000 barrels per day as of August after the two countries announced this last week, according to data issued by SOMO.
Iraqi exports to Jordan for August reached to $70.22 per barrel.
Jordan imported in July 334.844 barrels of Iraqi oil, with an import rate of 11,000 barrels of oil per day.
During the past May and June, the discharged quantities of Iraqi crude oil from the Kirkuk fields/ Iraq in the tanks of the Jordan Petroleum Refinery in Zarqa amounted to 556,062 thousand barrels, according to a previous statement by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.
This came after the resumption of Iraqi oil imports to Jordan under an agreement between the governments of the two countries last May, under which Jordan imports 10,000 barrels based on the monthly Brent crude rate, minus $16 per barrel to cover the difference in quality and transportation fees.
