Ammon News - Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs and Minister of State for Public Sector Modernisation Nasser Shraideh said that the Jordanian state under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah is committed to the three tracks of modernization, political, economic and administrative.
Shraideh gave his remarks during a joint press conference held Saturday with Minister of Government Communications, Faisal Shboul, to conclude the "A Year on Modernization" government forum at the Dead Sea.

"The presence of His Majesty King Abdullah is the biggest guarantee of commitment to the Economic Modernisation Vision (EMV)," Shraideh said at the conference.

He added that discussions that took place at the forum were attended by officials and experts from various sectors, as well as funding and donor agencies, noting that achievements of the EMV and the public sector modernisation roadmap were highlighted with full transparency to everyone at the forum.

"Today we were honored by the presence of His Majesty the King, and this constitutes an affirmation of commitment to implementing the modernisation tracks, which was confirmed by Prime Minister Bisher Khasawneh, who said that the current government and successive governments are committed to political, administrative and economic modernisation tracks, through their executive programs," Shraideh added.

He said that the government focuses on achieving and implementing priorities and projects included in the EMV, including performance indicators and objectives that the government seeks to achieve, with adherence to the specified timeframes.

Shraideh pointed out that the human element is the key asset that Jordan possesses, and it needs to be empowered with skills and knowledge required by the labor market in the current and future stages, as well as leveraging technological revolutions in human resources field.

Shraidah added that the EMV brought promising opportunities and potinials in the national economy, as the government seeks in the coming period to study, define and market them further to enhance the Kingdom's opportunities in the future.

For his part, Minister of Government Communications Faisal Shboul reaffirmed that the conclusion of the forum witnessed the presence of His Majesty the King, which represents a commitment from the government to proceed with the EMV and holding this forum on an annual basis for the next 9 years.

Shboul added that the forum, which is being held for the first time, included many sessions, discussions and open dialogues with the participation of EMV developers, stressing that this forum will be an approach for the next nine years, and will be subjected to a review of achievements across its tracks.

He underlined that there is no empowered public sector without partnership with the private sector and the presence of international partners to receive their observations, indicating that the government does not want to make decisions by itself, but rather through partnership with all partners.

Shboul pointed out that Jordan's stability amid turbulent region and world represents a major attraction for foreign investments and international institutions.
