Against the backdrop of global transformation, where artificial intelligence, the service sector and green energy play essential roles and offer promising opportunities, Jordan's geographic location qualifies it to become a regional hub and a key partner in green development.

Harnessing clean energy resources is vital for reducing the impact of climate change, and investing in sustainable solutions is the need of the hour before it’s too late.

Since traditional solutions will not suffice to address these challenges, a true dynamic response is an urgent necessity in the form of a national project that strengthens Jordan's role in the region.

Technology, including artificial intelligence, is among the emerging tools to achieve economic and social objectives and find innovative and sustainable solutions.

According to a survey by the Global Barometer Department at TRENDS Research and Advisory, titled “Elites Opinions on Artificial Intelligence, Technology and Climate Change” 95 per cent of those surveyed believe technology can significantly contribute to mitigating or addressing climate change.

Harnessing the full potential of technology, including artificial intelligence, energy-efficient devices, renewable energy utilisation and integration, electric or hybrid vehicles, establishing smart cities and transport and adopting sustainable agriculture, to name a few, can bring tangible differences on the long journey towards sustainability.

Amid the rapidly unfolding global events that impose economic and climate burdens, conventional methods and solutions are no longer effective. Instead, we must work towards achieving genuine regional and global partnerships.

Jordan must lead a pivotal role through robust practical partnerships at the national, regional and global levels, positioning itself as a hub for tech solutions in addressing climate change.
