Prince Faisal attends Ramadan iftar with Jordanian sports community

Ammon News - HRH Prince Faisal bin Al Hussein joined the Jordanian sports community for a Ramadan iftar on Monday, organized by the Jordan Olympic Committee in partnership with Generations for Peace and Jordan Motorsport.

Rana Al-Saeed, Secretary-General of the Jordan Olympic Committee, highlighted the progress of Jordanian sports in recent years, attributing it to the leadership of Prince Faisal, who serves as the committee’s president. She emphasized his role in shaping the sports sector and advancing its vision in the Kingdom.

Al-Saeed outlined key achievements in 2024, including Amman’s hosting of the General Assembly of the Union of Arab National Olympic Committees and Jordan’s selection as the host of the 2035 Arab Games. She also noted the nation’s performance in the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

She congratulated the newly elected boards of sports federations, expressing hope for their success in supporting national teams and driving further achievements.

The event featured a presentation on Generations for Peace’s activities over the past year and a video showcasing major rally events organized by Jordan Motorsport.

Prince Faisal concluded the event by honoring individuals for their contributions to Jordanian sports, including Jacqueline Al-Duqm, the first Jordanian woman to qualify for the Olympic Games, former national basketball player Ibrahim Al-Jaafari, and journalists Mohammad Qadri Hassan and Samir Jankat.
