Ammon News - The National Cybersecurity Center (NCSC), led by its president Bassam Maharmeh, took part in meetings of a working group focused on ensuring the safety and security of information and communications technology (ICT) held at the United Nations headquarters in New York from July 24th to 28th.
A statement by the NCSC on Monday said that the group delved into the implementation of international law concerning the utilization of ICT by states.
Additionally, the group explored measures for building confidence and improving capabilities.
It is noteworthy that the working group is responsible for improving norms, standards, and principles that guide responsible behavior by states, as well as examining state initiatives aimed at ensuring the security of ICT.
Furthermore, the group has set its sights on establishing a regular institutional dialogue with broad participation from states under the auspices of the UN to improve mutual understanding and address potential and existing threats in the realm of information security.
