Jordan, Bulgaria sign cooperation program in education, science, culture

Ammon News - Jordan and Bulgaria on Tuesday signed a comprehensive cooperation program, in a bid to strengthen bilateral ties and foster collaboration in key areas of mutual interest.

The program, signed by Jordanian Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, Zeina Touqan, and Bulgarian Ambassador to Amman, Dimitar Mihaylov, outlines a strategic framework for cooperation in education, science, and culture, reflecting the commitment of both countries to promote mutual understanding and exchange expertise in various sectors.

In a statement, Touqan highlighted the importance of this initiative as part of the ongoing efforts to further strengthen the existing excellent relations between Jordan and Bulgarian noting that the program encompasses multiple actionable measures that extend to education, higher education, culture, arts, museums, antiquities, and media.

"The signed program, the thirteenth of its kind between Jordan and Bulgaria, will be effective immediately upon its endorsement. Previous programs have proven successful in facilitating scholarships exchange, promoting collaboration between academic researchers, organizing joint conferences, seminars, and workshops, and supporting cultural exhibitions," she stated.

For his part, the Envoy emphasized the significance of the agreement in deepening the bonds of friendship and cooperation between the two countries, indicating that it will open up new avenues for growth and development and pave the way for a fruitful partnership.
