Ammon News - The International Monetary Fund's board approved a $3 billion bailout programme for Pakistan on Wednesday.
A statement by the fund showed that the Executive Board gave its approval to the 9-month agreement in support of the economic stabilization program adopted by the authorities, as this came after an agreement at the staff level between the Fund and Pakistan last month, according to "Washington Post".
This latest approval allows for the immediate disbursement of about 1.2 billion to support the balance of payments.
