The document, prepared by the Ministry of Government Communication, will be the starting point for the dialogue, which will hold its opening session in the presence of Minister of Government Communication Faisal Shaboul, at 11am at the Kempinski Hotel in Amman. Shboul stated that the general draft outline of media policy and government communication aims to develop and keep pace with the rapid technical developments. It will also activate communication channels and build trust within the public and the media, by preparing media messages for ministries and government institutions to support their strategies and plans, with the aim of unifying the government’s point of view and improving the media legislation regulating media work by reviewing it, according to Shboul. The draft prepared by the ministry will also empower journalists, especially with flow of media information.
