Ammon News - Moderately warm conditions are forecast to prevail on Thursday in the mountainous regions, while it will be relatively hot in other areas, as temperatures surpass the general seasonal averages by a slight margin, according to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD).

In its daily report, the weather department predicted that a Khamasini depression will affect the Kingdom on Friday, bringing another noticeable rise in temperatures, surpassing the average for this time of year by 6 to 7 degrees Celsius. The Khamasini is expected to create dusty conditions, particularly in the Badia regions, with occasionally strong gusts.

Moreover, scattered rainfall in various parts of the Kingdom is also expected, accompanied by thunderstorms at times. This weather pattern is anticipated to impact different areas, with relatively dusty and hot conditions prevailing over high mountainous regions and the rest of the country. The wind direction will shift from southeasterly to southwesterly, picking up at times and stirring dust in the Badia.

As the weekend draws to a close, a gradual decline in temperatures is anticipated on Saturday, resulting in mild to moderately warm weather conditions in the mountainous areas and relatively hot temperatures in other regions. Various altitudes will witness the presence of clouds, with scattered rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms, especially in the south and southeast regions.

Today's peak temperatures will be between 32 and 30 degrees Celsius in Amman and various highlands throughout the Kingdom, with lows of 23 or even 21 degrees in the southern highlands at night. The Gulf city of Aqaba will have warmer weather, with highs of 39C and lows of 27C.
