2 dams completely full in southern Jordan

Ammon News - The Jordan Valley Authority (JVA) confirmed that Al Wahidi Dam is full and has reached its maximum storage capacity, which is about 750,000 cubic meters.

The JVA indicated that the dam is one of the desert dams that was established in 2011 to ward off floods from population centers in the region, and is located in the southern region of Ma'an Governorate.

The authority added that the Al Ahmar Dam in Tafila governorate has also been filled, with a storage capacity of about 120,000 cubic meters.
