Ukrainian Ambassador congratulates on Jordan's Independence Day

Ammon News - The Ukrainian Ambassador to Amman, Myroslava Shcherbatiuk, expressed her appreciation to the Jordanian people for their hospitality, friendship and sympathy with their Ukrainian counterpart.

In her speech to Ammon, Shcherbatiuk extended congratulations and blessings to the leadership and people of the Kingdom on the 77th anniversary of Independence Day, stressing that everyone stands united to celebrate Jordan's rich history and culture, as well as the strength and flexibility of its wise leadership.

"Jordan is a close and valued partner of Ukraine. Our two countries have a long history of cooperation in a wide range of areas and successful track record of mutual support", Shcherbatiuk said, adding that: "Today, I stand before you t say the Ukraine is committed to further strengthening cooperation and bonds of friendship with Jordan."

She confirmed that her country is undergoing the toughest times of its modern history, stressing that it is important to remember that independence and freedom are worth fighting for and that the truth will always win over oppression and aggression.

"Since the beginning of a full-scale invasion of Russia, Ukraine has demonstrated that when we stand united, we can take on even the most powerful enemy and resist the most sinister of his plans. We have effectively downgraded Russia that once was deemed to have the second-best army in the world. Have no doubt, Ukraine will preserve and get the long-awaited victory sooner rather than later," Shcherbatiuk said to Ammon.

She also confirmed that Jordan will continue to thrive in the years to come.

Shcherbatiuk concluded her speech by extending her greetings to HRH Crown Prince Al Hussein and Miss Rajwa Al-Saif on the occasion of their wedding, wishing them a life full of happiness and wellbeing.
