Ammon News - Minister of Agriculture, Khaled Hneifat, on Monday, stressed the "deep-rooted" Jordanian-Saudi relations and importance of joint cooperation and partnership in all sectors.
Speaking at a meeting with a Saudi delegation, comprised of Director General of General Administration of Cooperative Associations in Saudi Ministry of Environment, Agriculture and Water, Suleiman Jteili, Hneifat noted importance of exchanging expertise and benefiting from Saudi experience in the cooperative sector.
The delegation was briefed on the Jordanian ministry's plans to develop the cooperative sector by selecting crops-related societies that serve a geographical area to support their activities, which would realize a community value in creating job opportunities, regulating agricultural work and increasing productive families' income.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed coordination with Jordanian Palestinian Agricultural Products Marketing Company (JPACO) to launch future cooperation in joint agricultural products.
