Ammon News - The Jordanian exports value to European Union countries increased by 108.5 percent during January and February 2023, to reach about JD62 million, compared to about 30 million for the same period last year.
The Kingdom's imports from the EU countries increased by 14.9 percent, during the first two months of this year, to reach 476 million dinars, compared to 414 million for the same period last year, according to data issued by the Department of Statistics (DoS).
According to the data, the volume of trade exchange between Jordan and the Eurozone during the past two months of January and February of this year amounted to about 538 million dinars, compared to 444 million for the same period last year.
The Kingdom's trade balance deficit with the European Union countries in the first two months of this year amounted to about 414 million dinars, compared to about 384 million for the same period last year.
In the first two months of this year, the Netherlands topped the list of European nations in terms of the value of Jordan's exports to EU countries, amounting to about 16 million dinars, while Germany topped the list of nations from which Jordan imports, with the value of the Kingdom's imports totaling about 104 million dinars.
