Ammon News - A grand jury in Manhattan, New York City, voted last night to indict previous President Donald Trump, the first such indictment against an American president.

The jury heard evidence in the so-called hush money investigation alleging that in the run-up to the 2016 election, Trump's former personal attorney, Michael Cohen, paid a woman in the adult entertainment industry $130,000 for her silence about an alleged affair she had with Trump in 2006.

The jury consists of citizens chosen with great care from among the city’s residents, based on eligibility and impartiality, with a panel for each case separately by the court.

A spokesman for the Manhattan Attorney General's Office stated: "We contacted Trump's lawyer to coordinate Trump's surrender to the Manhattan Attorney General's Office," adding that "guidance will be provided when determining the date of the summons."
