Ammon News - Temperatures on Monday are expected to be a few degrees below the annual average, with relatively cold and partly cloudy weather prevailing in much of the country, except in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba where it will be fair, according to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD).

The weather department warned of poor horizontal visibility in the highlands and the Badia due to dust and dense fog.

Toward Tuesday, mercury levels will rise again, bringing relatively warm weather in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba, and moderate conditions in other regions, the forecasters predicted.

A slight drop in temperatures is expected on Wednesday, triggering relatively cold conditions, with cloudy skies and a chance for light showers in the northern areas. Winds will be northwesterly active, with strong gusts exceeding 50 km/h and blowing dust in the Badia.

Today, temperatures in the capital Amman will range between a high of 18 degrees Celsius and a low of 8C at night, while the port city of Aqaba will see a fair 25C, sliding to 15C at night.
