Israeli officials express their rejection of Smotrich's speech

Official source confirmed that Israeli officials contacted the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs since Monday to confirm their rejection of the behavior of the far-right Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, who spoke from a platform bearing an alleged map of Israel that includes the borders of Jordan, and launched a racist and inciting speech against the Palestinian people.
The Israeli officials confirmed that the Smotrich's actions did not represent the Israeli government, and that Israel absolutely respects Jordan's borders, territorial integrity and sovereignty, and is fully committed to the peace agreement with it, the source said, according to what was quoted by Al-Mamlaka
The Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Israeli officials issued Monday several statements and positions that confirmed the Israeli government's commitment to the Jordanian-Israeli peace agreement and its respect for its borders and role.
National Security Council chairman Tzachi Hanegbi phoned Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi, during which he emphasized Israel's respect for Jordan's borders, territorial integrity and sovereignty, and for the agreements signed between the two sides.
